Alicia considers herself quite “performative”: she loves being in front of the camera and would like to direct her career toward modeling. She practices less sport than she would like, although she believes that she will withstand the harsh conditions of the race. “Beijing Express gives me the opportunity to do things that I otherwise wouldn’t do out of fear or shame. There I will have the obligation to face those fears and internal impositions, to break those barriers with myself that sometimes prevent me from enjoying myself. If I overcome this experience, I will be able to do anything”

He is an athlete, he practices daily, he really likes nature and hiking in the countryside. He is very competitive: “I am very curious to know how far we will be able to go and what our limits will be.”

María likes sports: horse riding, motorcycling, driving… she is very transparent and admires her mother a lot: “This adventure is a way to get to know my mother better and strengthen our connection even more. We will have to face situations that will take us to the extreme and I hope they end up helping to strengthen our bond and see where our limits are” she wants to show that youth is not a symbol of weakness. “I love traveling and there is no better trip than Beijing Express.”
Álex de la Croix and Guillermo Duque (friends)
Álex is a filmmaker, actress, cultural manager, activist and model, she speaks four languages (English, French, Spanish and Japanese) and, according to her, she is not ashamed to get what she wants: “I think I am Lara Croft, the blonde Tomb Raider ”. Together with her partner, Dulceida, she is dedicated to creating content on different social networks. She considers herself very competitive and all she wants is to win. Furthermore, one of the aspects that makes her most excited about this experience is that she will be able to be disconnected from the phone for a while. “I love traveling and I love competing, there is no better program than this to combine both things and be able to enjoy them to the fullest.”
Influencer, model and businessman, Álex runs, together with his sister Dulceida, several representation and event companies. “My sister-in-law Alba and I make a spectacular team, we are very competitive and I am sure that this adventure will unite us even more.” He loves to travel and it is his dream to live an experience like Beijing Express, where he will not have the comfort of staying in a 5-star hotel: “I want to push myself to the limit and see how far I can go.”
Canco Rodríguez and David Pulido (friends)
Actor and comedian, Canco became known for his participation in the series ‘Aída’ or ‘Brain Escape’. He considers himself not intrepid, although he really likes to travel, but always with comfort and without rushing. ”I am an absolute fan of Peking Express and participating in this experience is a dream come true.” He says of himself that he is very nervous, brave and competitive. ”David and I have watched every edition of Beijing Express together and I think he will be my perfect companion for this trip. David is a psychologist, writer, professor and fiction screenwriter, as well as winner of a Goya for the script of ‘Tarde para la ira’. Rational and empathetic, he confesses to being stubborn and having fixed ideas. He is good at organizing and planning what needs to be done and his biggest fear is defeat, as well as missing out on part of the experience. “During some of our trips together, Canco and I have even pretended that we were participating in Beijing Express just for fun: in those moments I realized that he would be my perfect match. “I want all the spectators who have dreamed of living this adventure to feel identified with me when they see me, to perceive the enthusiasm with which I have embarked on this journey.”
Gemma Mengual and Gisela Rovira (friends)
Gemma defines herself as a noble, competitive girl who has been gaining character over the years. She is a former elite athlete and follower of Peking Express, what scares her most is hunger: when she is hungry, she has no friends. “We want to bring to the program the values that sport entails: discipline, effort, self-improvement and, something very important, the ability to resist situations in which you may be suffering, but you keep going.”
Gisela, a former elite athlete and actress, won Olympic silver with Gemma at the Beijing Olympic Games: “Gemma is like my sister and we get along perfectly. I am delighted that she chose me. But I’m not surprised either: I would have chosen her too. “We understand each other in a very special way.” What scares him most about her adventure is having to separate from her three-year-old little daughter. “I am sure that Peking Express comes to my life to add value. Everything you give me will be good, to learn and self-discover.”
