Due to the war on the road, the state tightens controls and adopts specific security measures. A total of 17 ideas are listed by the institutions and the goal is to drastically reduce accidents by the end of the year.
First, many of the measures announced today are actually part of the institutions’ core duties, such as removing trees and poles along roads if they are dangerous to traffic, as well as restoring and replacing road signs and signage if necessary.
Among the new measures announced at the meeting of the road safety commission is increased control at technical inspection points and round-the-clock inspections of buses and trucks.
As for the dangerous sections, there the directions of movement will be separated by guardrails or pegs to avoid frontal collisions.

The Poles separated the traffic directions through the Kresnen Gorge in July and there have been no incidents for more than two months.
Similarly, the installation of dividers on other deadly sections in our country is planned. The former is thought to be in the section near Polikraishte village.
Where trees or poles along the road are expected to pose a risk to drivers, they will be removed. Make sure you use the seat belts on the rear seats.
“The company wants measures that are quick and give effective results. It is really time to act responsibly and decisively,” said Maria Lazarova, vice president of the Association for Road Safety.
“This is not the responsibility of the Ministry of the Interior alone. You understand – the owners of the road and all institutions responsible for maintaining the roads, including signage, stalls, very important things that are not their responsibility, road signs that are not the responsibility of the Ministry of the Interior, “said Ivan Demerdzhiev, Minister of Internal Affairs.
Control over heavy vehicles will be tightened from 1 October and will become 24 hours a day, instead of 6 in the morning to 10 in the evening, as it is now.
“There is a change in employee working hours, shift work and total reporting of working time,” said Boyko Ranovski, executive director of AI Automotive Administration.
However, the automobile administration does not have sufficient resources, so the check in the dark will be only in some places.
“About 130 people across the country. So we will do our best to have teams around the clock, but the teams that work at night will be in a reduced composition in the directions of the main road,” said Boyko Ranovski.
