The Council of Ministers does not formalize the extension of the state of emergency

The state of emergency for coronavirus in Italy will end on July 31st. At least at present. In fact, the extension, as far as is learned from majority sources, has not been formalized in the Council of Ministers just concluded. Although there is a substantial agreement on October 31st as the date to extend the emergency for the Covid crisis.

It remains to be understood what will be the tool with which the Dpcm issued during the state of emergency on 31 July will have to be extended and it is probable that, before the resolution, Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte intends to make a passage in Parliament, as he had anticipated last 10 July.

Meanwhile on Twitter the Minister of Labor Nunzia Catalfo at the end of the Council of Ministers writes: “Refinancing the layoffs, incentives for new hires and strengthening of the new skills fund. With the largest part of the 25 billion of the budget variance approved in CDM , we give further fuel to businesses and more protection for workers. “
