The Council of Cee is committed to the Galician audiovisual to structure its leisure proposal for Easter. In addition to a workshop and theater, the Culture area promotes a film series in which the four finalists will be represented in the category of Best Feature Film of the XIX edition of the Mestre Mateo Awards, whose winners will be announced on April 10. The program, presented yesterday by the mayor, Margarita Lamela; the Councilor for Culture, Juan Manuel Buiturn, and the technician of Xestin Cultural, Vctor Manuel Castieira, is the following:
Saturday 27: theater • The Butaca Zero company will stage the play 32m2, a piece by Esther F. Carrodeguas born in confinement. It will be at 8:00 p.m., in the Baldomero Cores auditorium. Tickets at 5 and 3 euros.
Sunday 28: dance • The Club Arte e Movemento participates in the Spanish championship of Carribean Show Dance, which this year is held electronically. They will participate from the Baldomero Cores auditorium, in the morning.
On March 31, April 1, 2 and 3: Galician cinema • Four films that, together, add 36 nominations to the Mestre Mateo. Will be projected A illa you give lies, U.S, Arima Y The Red, in all cases at 8:00 p.m. Reserve entry in advance.
Sunday 4: course • On mechanics and tuning of the accordion, organized by the entity Sons da Costa and the Concello de Cee, with the sponsorship of the Asociación de Amigos da Banda Ceense. French luthier Stphanie Simon give the course, which has limited places. You must sign up at the telephone number 609 831 651.
Sunday 4: short film • Premiere of What you take to the sea, a short filmed in Cee and surroundings and starring Too Casais and Serxio Domnguez. As in the other activities, the capacity is limited and you have to reserve tickets, either at the Department of Culture or at the Francisco Mayn Library.
The winners of each category will receive, as it could not be otherwise, a large chocolate Easter egg
The Concello de Laxe promotes for this time of Holy Week the first Easter Egg Creative Contest, aimed at children between 3 and 12 years old. Those who are in that age range will be able to let their imagination fly and customize this classic festive element and then send a photograph to the City Council and participate in this contest.
There are three categories: infant, 3-5 years; Primary 1, from 6 to 9 years old and Primary 2, from 10 to 12. Entries can be submitted until 2:00 pm on Wednesday March 31st and Internet users will vote for their favorite candidates (from April 1 to 4). The winners of each category, who will receive a diploma and, of course, a large chocolate Easter egg, will be announced on April 5.
