Jakarta

In the last week, the news about Indra Bekti capture the attention of the audience. The famous presenter passed out in the bathroom and was rushed to the hospital. The man who is familiarly called Bekti was found to have suffered a brain hemorrhage and underwent two major surgeries.

Almost a week of outpatient treatment, the cost of treatment reached Rp. 1 billion. Other artists’ family and friends also helped the Bekti family.

Due to the ongoing and ever higher costs of treatment, Indra Bekti’s wife, Aldila Jelitastarted a fundraiser.

Open donation has sparked controversy. Most people disagree because Indra Bekti’s profession is an artist and he should sell the existing assets. There were various responses that Aldila Jelita got for revealing the open donation.

His brother-in-law, Komo Ricky, also provided clarification. Actually the fundraising was not for the general public but in the beginning the plan was only for the artists.

“He said at first it wasn’t necessary, don’t do it, don’t do it,” Komo Ricky said in the explainer video he made, as seen by detik.com.

When Aldila revealed about the fundraiser, her condition was truly chaotic. Bekti’s wife met the media crew for the first time after news broke that her husband had a brain hemorrhage.

“I’ve raised money for other artists. Yes, because Dilla was the one who said the wrong perception,” she said.

“The situation was also really chaotic that day. Because it was also the first day of Dilla’s preskon, right, so he was confused too,” continued Komo Ricky.

Since the beginning of the fundraiser, artist friends have started it. The artist’s friends wanted to open a fundraiser because they saw the figure of Indra Bekti who has always entertained many people.

“In the beginning, artist friends wanted to raise money because we know that Kak Bekti is a very kind person, she is very cheerful, she brings a happy atmosphere wherever she is. Many people love her. That’s why there was a movement on the first day, ‘Let’s raise money,’ because the costs are (big),” he said.

Meanwhile, Aldila Jelita stressed that she has opened a fundraiser for various reasons. There was an insurance claim which was rejected because she had only attended for 6 months, she did not choose BPJS insurance, the cost from surgery to treatment was quite high in Abdi Waluyo hospital, so she had need further treatment.

Now Indra Bekti’s condition has improved and she can speak again. Even Bekti can joke with his wife and younger siblings.

Most likely, Bekti will have to undergo treatment in the hospital for the next 20 days.
