The following is a cosmic calendar that summarizes the entire evolution of the universe over 13.5 billion years and then reduced to 1 year (calculated in the Gregorian calendar). Let’s try to look at the calendar. The calculation is as follows:

Time scale:

438 years =1 Cosmic second

1.58 million years = 1 cosmic hour

37.8 million years = 1 Cosmic day

The universe began when there was a big bang (Bigbang) from super dense and hot matter that was smaller than a single atom (singularity). Let’s say it’s on January 1st at 00:00. Then January 13 was the beginning of the formation of ancient stars. On January 22, the primordial galaxy formed. The Milky Way galaxy (Milky Way) which houses our sun and earth was only formed in the first week around May. However, the sun and earth only appeared three and a half months later in the first week of September due to accretion from the nebula. The earth’s atmosphere at that time was a very toxic environment if humans had lived at that time. About 3 weeks after the earth was formed, the simplest forms of life (Prokaryotes) in the form of microorganisms began to appear in the ancient ocean on September 25. This life form maintains its survival by consuming carbon and living off sunlight while releasing oxygen and causing the sky to slowly turn blue. In early October, the oldest rock formation, namely Acasta Gneiss (Hedean Eon of Earth’s Geological History) and the oldest fossils viz Cyanobacteria formed on earth. One month later in November, multi-celled life forms began to appear and produce. Gradually four-legged creatures roamed the earth. Then on December 27th, almost 1 year later, only a few days had passed since the universe was formed, the earth entered a stage called an era Jurassic where The climate has changed to a tropical climate . Dinosaurs and reptiles roamed the earth. However, this dynasty of giants did not last long, only lasting a few days, then on December 30 they became extinct as a result of an asteroid impact that hit the earth. The impact of this celestial body caused the climate to change very drastically and triggered a very massive disaster on earth.

To get a picture of humans, we need to convert the cosmic calendar from months and days to minutes and seconds. Ten minutes before midnight on December 31, an event occurred that would further change the face of the earth, namely presence A wise man (humans in modern form like us now). Three minutes later humans began to go to sea, succeeded in breeding animals, developing agriculture, discovering art, building civilization while continuing to try to subdue nature. The scientific discoveries that made health science and digital technology possible today occurred during the last second before midnight on December 31st. So intelligent creatures whose average lifespan is around 0.16 cosmic seconds, have only lived in this universe for a few minutes. However, in that last second before midnight there was almost no place on earth untouched by his traces. There is almost no species that is not affected by its presence either directly or indirectly.

This cosmic history fascinates many people. Cosmic time travel that allows us (living creatures) to be here when viewed from a cosmological perspective is only possible because the interaction of nature and its physical quantities, which are called fundamental quantities, fit together with each other. Gravity is compatible with magnetic electricity and is compatible with nuclear forces. Like musical strings that are tuned so finely that not a single note is out of tune. From the perspective of earth science and ecology, the earth is an organism with its constituent components united to form interactions to keep the earth in equilibrium (Gaia Hypothesis).

It is our universe that allows us to be present. A universe like this is very comfortable and makes us feel at home. Why? Because we don’t feel like alien creatures that were just inserted or placed. We evolve together, move, process together with nature, together with other living creatures (animals and plants), together with the stars. Even the materials of our bodies, namely those that make up our bodies, which consist of nitrogen, oxygen, iron, etc., are not produced by the human body itself but are products of nature.

However, this history amazes and fascinates because it does not tell about something behind the dark veil full of freedom. Everything is fine, everything is in order. There is nothing in the story of what Charles Darwin called the terrible but silent and cruel war of organisms. Darwin’s anxiety was caused by brutal competition between organisms, as well as by cosmic disasters. Ninety-nine percent of the species that have ever existed on earth are now extinct and that happened long before the presence of humans. The presence of humans will increase the number of people who become extinct and we can also increase the number of humans and other living creatures that disappear on an even larger scale.
