Some people get used to brushing and flossing vigorously, thinking that brushing them this way will make them cleaner, brighter and help whiten them.

The Dangers of Brushing Your Teeth Vigorously
When brushing their teeth vigorously, a person becomes more susceptible to certain risks, including:
Sensitivity of the teeth.
Tooth enamel erosion.
Gums that recede.
Yellowing of the teeth.
Weak and easy to break teeth.

Proper way to brush your teeth
The American Dental Association has recommended dental cleaning according to the following guidelines:
Use a soft-bristled toothbrush to protect your gums from infection, injury, and bleeding when brushing.
Replace your toothbrush every 3 to 4 months or sooner if the bristles are worn.
Rely on a toothbrush that adapts to your teeth and their shape for easy and effective cleaning.
Place the toothbrush at a 45 degree angle to the gums.
Gently move the brush back and forth.
Cleaning of the external and internal surfaces of the teeth.
Move the brush up and down to clean the front, upper and lower teeth.
Brush your teeth twice a day, for two minutes each time, to prevent plaque, such as plaque and tartar, from building up on their outer surface.
Use a fluoride-rich toothpaste.

Oral health tips
– Cleaning the tongue with the special brush, to preserve the smell of the mouth and remove the bacteria accumulated on the tongue.
– Not only brushing and toothpaste, but also the use of medical dental floss, to eliminate food residues.
Limit sugary foods and drinks.
– Follow a healthy diet.
Drink plenty of water to keep your mouth hydrated.
Examination of the teeth and gums in a doctor’s office once or twice a year, for early diagnosis and rapid treatment of diseases.
