The coronavirus disrupts garbage collection in Niort and in the agglomeration

In some areas of Niort and the agglomeration, waste collection will be very disrupted from Tuesday March 16. The service is indeed affected by several cases of coronavirus and with the application of prevention measures and the isolation of contact cases, the workforce “are currently strongly affected”, indicates Niort Agglo in a press release.

Collections that cannot be insured on Tuesday March 16:

  • The packaging at Niort : avenue de La Rochelle sector (between rue du Clou-Bouchet and rue Saint-Symphorien), sector Mansard, sector Goise and route d’Aiffres, Route d’Aiffres, Champommier, Chantelauze and Trois Coigneaux, avenue de Limoges, rue Brun Puyrajoux , Fief Joly, avenue de la Venise verte, ZAC de Saint-Liguaire, route d’Aiffres and senior residences, avenue de Limoges to the aerodrome.
  • The household waste at Niort : Goise sector and route d’Aiffres, avenue de la Venise Verte, Zac St Liguaire, route d’Aiffres and seniors’ residence, avenue Limoges to the aerodrome
  • The glass at Niort : Brizeaux, Mirandelle and Mineraie sector
  • The household waste at I will throw (center), to Saint-Maxire (Saint-Maxire + the Echiré gaps: Ternanteuil, Les Habites, Bois Berthier, Moulin Neuf), at Vanneau-Irleau, part ofArçais, at Aiffres (Fief Chevalier sector)

To follow the situation which will evolve from day to day, Niort agglo advises to consult its website. For now, the community is asking residents to keep their green waste, their glass, as well as their bulky waste usually collected by appointment and to give preference to delivery to waste reception centers or voluntary drop-off points.
