Thailand is starting to undergo clinical trials vaccine Locally made Covid-19 to humans, Monday (22/3). A total of 460 volunteers were involved in the two phases of the clinical trial.
The Thai government hopes that the results of clinical trials will come out by the end of the year and next year their vaccine can be used.
The Thai vaccine candidate was developed by the Government Pharmaceutical Organization with the Mahidol University Department of Tropical Medicine and an American non-profit organization. Vaccines are made using an inactive virus to trigger immunity.
Another local vaccine is also being developed by Chulalongkorn University, using Messenger RNA (mRNA) technology. This vaccine has not yet reached phase three trials.
