The Corona Pandemic Is Not Over, The US Is Hit By The Salmonella Outbreak

Amid fears of a pandemic corona virus that has not ended, the United States has been hit by the Salmonella outbreak. The warning about this outbreak has appeared since August 19, 2020.

According to federal authorities, both state and local authorities in the United States are still investigating the source and cause of the outbreak of infection Salmonella Enteritidis. The known source of this infection is related to peaches that are sold by retailers.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reports that epidemiological evidence suggests a possible source of this outbreak was the peach. On August 19, the CDC reported that the total number of patients sick due to the outbreak reached 68 patients from nine states in the US.

“Bulk peaches are distributed and sold from June 1 to August 3, while peaches packaged in Wawona are sold from June 1 to August 19 because the product could possibly be contaminated. Salmonella, “the company wrote in a press release.

Not only that, the company also urges people who forget the purchase date of the peaches to immediately throw them away.

“Consumers who forget when to buy peaches supplied by Prima Wawona should throw them away. Consumers who bought retail peaches before August 3, 2020 and do not know whether the fruit came from Prima Wawona should throw them away,” appealed the Food and Drug Administration (FDA).
