The corona incidence numbers are rising again

DARMSTADT – Is it already a tangible sign of a third wave or a brief flare-up in a roughly downward curve? This question is not only faced by decision-makers at the federal level – an upward trend in the corona incidence figures is clearly noticeable for Darmstadt. The data at the end of February are still significantly better than in mid-January, as the new long-term evaluation shows: From the maximum value of 113.2 new infections per 100,000 inhabitants, the curve went down to 37.5 by February 14th shortly afterwards to tear the 50 mark again clearly.

In addition to the incidence, the three graphics also show the cumulative values ​​of confirmed infections and the number of patients who died with or from the novel coronavirus. Set February 25 as the key date, 474 other people were laboratory-confirmed infected with the coronavirus in the previous four weeks. In the same period, 17 people died in connection with the virus in the entire year to date, and thus twice as many as in the entire period March to November 2020.
