Kelheim / Regensburg.Last year, the IHK Regensburg for Oberpfalz / Kelheim carried out more than 10,000 intermediate, final and retraining exams in around 160 different training professions, as well as around 7,300 specialist-to-chef master’s exams. Numerous examiners have now been awarded.

“These figures impressively underscore the importance and scope of the examination system,” said IHK Vice President Thomas Hanauer at the IHK Annual Examiner Ceremony. This happened again aboard the “Crystal Queen” after a two-year hiatus for Corona. Of the nearly 4,300 examiners in Upper Palatinate and the district of Kelheim, 175 longtime examiners were awarded this year. “Your exemplary voluntary commitment is an important part of our social life and a cornerstone of professional training,” Hanauer thanked the winners, without whom the IHK exams would be unthinkable. With their knowledge, the examiners decisively determined the quality of vocational training.

120 examiners received the silver badge of honor for more than ten years of work as examiners and 47 examiners for more than 20 years received the gold badge of honor. Eight examiners were fired with the gold letter of honor for 30 or more years as examiners. Together they can look back on 235 years of volunteer work at the IHK. The leader was Franz Dirscherl: he was awarded for 40 years as an examiner at the IHK and conducted exams for technical product designers.

Among others, Josef Köglmayer (Göttler Stahlbau GmbH, Saal ad Donau), Klaus Kortstock (Buergofol GmbH, Siegenburg) and Richard Mohr (Jugendhilfe Institut, Kelheim) received the Golden Badge of Honor for 20 years of voluntary work as auditors at the IHK.

Among others, the Silver Badge of Honor for ten years of volunteering as an examiner at the IHK was awarded to: Hermann Bäumer (St. Franziskus vocational training center, Abensberg), Michael Brandl (Mainburg city administration), Peter Brunner (vocational training center St. Franziskus training center, Abensberg), Daniel Gruber (Scheugenpflug). GmbH, Neustadt on the Danube), Thomas Mirwald (Raiffeisenbank Kreis Kelheim eG, Bad Abbach), Alexander Schmidgal (AURENTUM GmbH, Saal on the Danube).

Accepting the exam is one of the most important and extensive tasks that the Chamber of Industry and Commerce performs for regional companies, underlined Deputy Hanauer of the Chamber of Industry and Commerce. “Without the extraordinary commitment of examiners who work on a voluntary basis, it would not be possible to organize training and advanced exams, as well as general and specialist exams. And without exams there would not even be young qualified talents “.
