Entering politics, my goal is to fight corruption. Information came out that a former company of Denitsa Simeonova, leader of the list of the “We continue the change – Democratic Bulgaria” coalition in Vratsa, received state funding under one of the funds. Georgi Georgiev commented this to bTV.
In the 47th National Assembly, he was part of “There is such a nation”, after which he switched to “We continue the change”.
For the upcoming elections on April 2, Georgiev opposed the coalition’s decision to re-nominate Denitsa Simeonova as leader in Vratsa.
“It turned out that the story had an earlier beginning. When the interim government comes in 2021, Denitsa Simeonova becomes the head of the office of the Minister of Finance Asen Vassilev. This is an important position. During this time, the application and approval procedure of her former company, which is owned by her sister, is going on. The Fund of Funds was then under the authority of the Minister of Finance,” Georgiev added.
“Denitsa is known for naming Kiril Petkov ‘Just Kiro.’ The second thing she is known for is her funding. The leader of the leaves is a person who must show qualities. There is no way I can stand behind her this time, because for me, she is a symbol of corruption,” he emphasized.
“The conversation with Kiril Petkov was quite desperate. We will ruin the election if I tell everything,” he pointed out
“Things happened in PP that I did not agree with. I was hoping that was how things would turn out, because I didn’t see how I was going to continue in The Change. I don’t like theater in front of people,” said Georgi Georgiev.
“Now is a time to reflect and a time to rest,” he concluded.
