The issue of Qurna Aswadha still raises a lot of controversy, especially after the incident that rocked the town of Bcharre about a month ago.

In the latest developments, journalist Riyad Tawq responded decisively to Representative Jihad al-Samad in a post on his Facebook account, where Tawq posted a video of al-Samad and wrote: “The dead man was satisfied and the killer was not satisfied.”

Al-Samad and his statement, in which he says that “the Black Qurna is for Danniyeh as the Ka’aba is for the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia,” prompted Tawq to abandon the “40-day truce,” saying: “One of the customs and norms of the people of origins and the people of the Shaym is that a truce takes place for forty days after death, and controversial matters are not discussed during this period.”

He continued, “But some of the neighbors and their leader deliberately open all the wounds during these forty days and before the end of the funeral. Since the language of reason, logic and law is absent from their dictionary, I see that it has become necessary to respond with the words that they can read.”

And Tawk went up to Samad, saying: “Listen, oh man: You have not and will not have more in Qurnat al-Sawda than what Iblis has in Paradise. These are final and categorical words.”

And he warned, “The days are between us, and we prefer the law because it spares us from wasting our time in sterile debate and empty talk. But if the law is absent, you have a promise from me that we will make this inventory a central issue, even if we are forced to leave our families, our jobs, and our money, and devote ourselves to its preservation and protection, because by demarcating its borders, we perpetuate the memory of our ancestors and put an end to encroachment on our future.”

And Tawk concluded, “With regard to blowing trumpets, there is a sequel to the hadith.”

It is noteworthy that Qurna Aswadha is witnessing a historical conflict over the ownership of Qurna Aswadha, and this conflict has turned into a bloody conflict with the incident that took place in the region a few weeks ago.

Humans were traumatized that day by the killing of the young Haitham Jamil al-Hindi Tawq in the al-Shihin area in the vicinity of Qurna al-Sawda by unidentified gunmen who were present in the area, and the killing of Malik Tawq a few hours later.
