Investigators from the Special Criminal Investigation Directorate (Ditreskrimsus) said the cost of renting a house on Jalan Kertanegara number 46 used by the Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission Firli Bahuri for breaks paid for by others. The house is rented to someone for 650 million per year.
“The person renting the Kertanegara house Number 46 South Jakarta is AT. The rent is around IDR 650 million a year,” said Direskrimsus Kombes Ade Safri Simanjuntak when asked for confirmation, Tuesday (31/10/2023).
He did not explain in detail when AT rented the house. He also did not say when Firli had been using the house to rest.
“The owner of Kertanegara house No. 46 South Jakarta is E,” explained Ade.
Kertanegara’s House Searched by Police
Polda Metro Jaya had previously searched the house at Kertanegara Number 46, South Jakarta. Firli’s attorney, Ian Iskandar, claimed that the house on Jalan Kertanegara, South Jakarta, which was searched by the police, was Firli’s rental house. He explained that the house was rented Firli to rest while on duty in Jakarta.
“That’s rent when he goes to Jakarta, wants to take a break, because the distance from Bekasi to where he works is quite far, right? Just to rest, rest, it’s not Mr. Firli’s,” said Ian to reporters in front of the Firli housing complex in Bekasi, Thursday (26/10).
Ian explained that Firli’s house was in Perum Gardenia Vila Galaxy, Bekasi. He said that this house had been occupied by Firli for 20 years.
“He has lived in this house (Vila Galaxy) for quite a long time, almost 20 years. This private house, he goes back and forth to this house every day,” explained Ian.
The police have also questioned the owner of the house rented for Firli to rest.
“Then on today’s agenda, investigators are still examining several witnesses, starting with the owner of the Kertanegara 46 house, who is scheduled to be examined today at 10.00 WIB on the 21st floor of the Promoter building, the investigator’s examination room of the Subdittipikor Ditreskrimsus Polda Metro Jaya,” said Ade Safri to journalists at Polda Metro Jaya, Jakarta, Friday (27/10).
