The controversy between Harry and Meghan is held by the hand during the procession of Queen Elizabeth II

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle seen holding hands as they exited Westminster Hall, where the bodies are located War Elizabeth II put in state. Their decision to go hand in hand has sparked several public reactions.

The couple, who have two children, joined the rest of the royal family to attend mass and pay tribute to Queen Elizabeth II on Wednesday (9/14/2022). After the procession ended, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle walked hand in hand behind King Charles II and Empress Camilla and Prince William and Kate Middleton.

The two were seen holding hands as they walked towards the Westminster Hall exit. Many netizens considered their actions reasonable and supported him, but not a few criticized him.

“Meghan and Harry have a special and surprising emotional bond that no one will be able to take away,” wrote one netizen on Twitter.

“Meghan acts as a supportive wife when her husband is in mourning,” commented another net user.

“Meghan and Harry love each other. There’s no reason they should hide it!” support netizens again.

Meanwhile, some opposing netizens thought the two did not abide by protocol. Because King Charles III and Prince William didn’t hold their partner at the same time.

“They are part of the procession. Is it too much to expect them to walk in order? Even a horse can stand in position for a 20 minute walk. While Meghan and Harry can’t keep their formation at least until they reach the door?” network criticism.

“She (Meghan Markle) has no class. I see Meghan still can’t follow the whole story without holding on to Harry,” wrote another netizen.

A palace expert claimed that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle did not violate royal protocol by joining hands. Because they are not among the main members who work for the Royal Family.

“Harry and Meghan are just bereaved relatives and are not required to follow palace protocol. They come together to support each other during this mourning period.” said palace and body language expert Inbaal Honigman, as quoted by Pagesix.
