Regarding General Hong’s support from the Soviet Union, the Military Compilation Research Institute said, “The Provisional Government dispatched Han Hyeong-gwon as a special envoy to Moscow and agreed to conclude the ‘Korea-ROK Airlift Alliance’ with the Soviet Russian government, and the military support and anti-Japanese united front. I was promised to participate,” he said. General Hong’s cooperation with the Soviet Union was judged as a means for the independence movement.
