Earlier this week, he shared a post on his Telegram account blaming the Israel Defense Forces (IDF), the Shin Bet, and the High Court for their failures that led to the devastating Oct. 7 Hamas attack.
Yair Netanyahu, who moved to Miami, USA earlier this year and has remained there despite the war in Israel, shared a clip of “how the High Court changed security arrangements and instructions to open fire on the Gaza Strip border,” reported Times of IsraelThursday, November 23 2023.

The clip features a video of a lawyer from the Kohelet Policy Forum, a conservative think tank whose ideas form the ideological basis of the government’s controversial judicial overhaul program.

Yair also shared a screenshot of an unsourced news report from Israeli public broadcaster Kan on October 2 which stated: “The message sent by the Shin Bet and the IDF to the political echelon: To maintain peace in the Gaza Strip, economic operations due to Gaza must continue. ”
The prime minister’s son also shared with his 14,000 followers a headline from a Channel 12 report about army scouts who warned of Hamas activity on the Gaza border for months before the attack, but were ignored by their commanders.
He also disparaged journalists for “asking political questions and conducting opinion polls,” an apparent reference to recent surveys showing declining support for the prime minister and his Likud party.
Yair later claimed that Channel 12 instigated him for first reporting the story he posted on its Telegram channel.
The prime minister’s son has moved to Florida, reportedly after Netanyahu and his wife demanded that he stop posting on social media and not speak directly to lawmakers or ministers, amid accusations that he was raising tensions among Israel’s top brass and exacerbating a diplomatic rift with the United States .
He faced criticism for remaining in America despite the war, when tens of thousands of Israelis were obliged to return home to join the more than 300,000 reservists initially called up.
Last week the prime minister said, after questions were raised at a press conference, that Yair volunteered in the US and obtained equipment for the military and emergency services, which many people did not believe.
