This could be that men don’t understand, usually men want to have children,” said Hasto.
When asked whether the BKKBN would deploy a team to check on Kevin and Mariana’s families. Hasto said that the priority of the BKKBN was the prevention of stunting children.
“If this couple is for the BKKBN, the chances of getting pregnant are small, so the importance is not as important, not a high-risk family for stunting.
Even so, Hasto said that his party was ready to provide assistance if one day Mariana became pregnant. He said women over the age of 35 and pregnant needed assistance.
“Yes, but if the problem of getting pregnant is small, only if she is pregnant she needs assistance, if she wants to get pregnant there is a possibility of having a big problem,” he said.
Furthermore, Hasto also admitted that he was confused about what made Kevin and Mariana’s marriage work. Because, in RI Law Number 16 of 2019 it stipulates that the minimum age for men and women to marry is 19 years.

“In my opinion, usually dispensation cannot be refused because the woman is less than 18 years old, and usually cannot be refused because she is already pregnant, usually. If this is the case, the man is less than 19 years old. If the woman is 41 years old, This woman is not pregnant,” he said.
“That’s why we need information whether the 41-year-old is already pregnant, so it can’t be rejected. But if you’re not pregnant yet, you shouldn’t give a recommendation,” he continued.
