The control of short-time work has the first judicial follow-up in Salzburg

The public prosecutor’s office accuses three men of having damaged the AMS by 13,000 euros. Otherwise there were hardly any complaints after hundreds of inspections.

The labor market service has so far paid 688 million euros in the course of the corona short-time work in Salzburg.

At the same time as the first corona lockdown, the turquoise-green federal government launched a short-time working model in March 2020. In view of the forced closings, companies should have an incentive to keep their employees in the company instead of leaving them outside.

Since then, 9638 Salzburg companies have submitted corresponding applications to the Public Employment Service (AMS) in the first four phases and sent a total of 101,724 employees on short-time corona work.
