The Continued History of NFC Chip Failure on iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max Smartphones

History with failure of the NFC chip (responsible for contactless services) on the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max smartphones has been continued. Not only wireless charging in BMW, but also in Toyota can “kill” a device. Moreover, the entire 15th series is at risk.

Let us remind you that after charging in BMW and, as it turned out, in Toyota, NFC may stop working. Accordingly, owners cannot then use Apple Pay, CarPlay, or a digital key. Restarting the smartphone does not help; the only option is to replace the device.

According to MacRumors, Apple sent out an internal memo to authorized service providers confirming that all versions of the iPhone 15 are affected by this issue. However, it does not contain information about why the problem occurs or what will be done to resolve it. At the very least, the next update to the iOS operating system will be released.

Almost all new BMWs can “kill” the iPhone 15. Even a 10-minute session is enough. With Toyota cars, the story is different: so far only the case has been recorded with Supra, which was created jointly with BMW.
