The Continued Detention of Hannibal Gaddafi’s Son Violates Human Rights

Representative Ashraf Rifi affirmed, “The continued detention of the son of the late Libyan President Hannibal Gaddafi without trial is subject to responsibility, as it violates the principle of human rights and overthrows justice.”

He called, in a statement on social media, to “release Gaddafi immediately, and the Lebanese judiciary should not submit to any political pressure in this case,” stressing that “enough disregard for justice, and enough enmity with brotherly Arab countries.”

And Gaddafi’s legal defense team had revealed, in an interview with Al-Arabiya channel, his “health deterioration in prison and his entry into a dangerous phase, as he refused to be transferred to intensive care after a sharp drop in his pulse,” blaming all the competent authorities “responsibility for his safety,” and demanding Intervene to release him.
