Studies on the topic that stress can be contagious have been proven thanks to researchers from the University of British Columbia. These researchers collected saliva samples from 400 elementary school students and found that teachers who felt tired played a role in increasing the hormone cortisol (the stress hormone) in their students.

It is not known exactly which stress came first; whether stress from the teacher or stress from the students.

What is clear, the effect lasts a few hours longer than being infected with a bad mood. In this case, the researchers pointed out that the problem of infectious stress is related to learning difficulties and mental health.
