“The contagion decreases due to vaccination” | The Buenos Aires Minister of Health referred to the drop in cases

“Covid levels are falling, especially due to vaccination. Little by little we are behaving in a different way. The report will be weekly for this reason,” said Nicolás Kreplak, Minister of Health of the Province of Buenos Aires, in a dialogue with Raúl Kollmann on the Radio 10 program Rayos X.

“We began to treat covid differently than in the pandemic. Over time, with the vaccines we focus on people with the highest risk, not everyone makes sense to be tested anymore. We must continue to strengthen vaccination.”

And he added that “people who are at risk and over 50 years old have to go for a swab. Those who have very strong symptoms should go to a guard and eventually the doctors will say if they need to be tested. We never stop knowing how many cases there are. ” The minister explained that “we start on Saturday with the fourth dose, the second reinforcement, for those over 50 years of age and people with irrigation diseases. They can go without shift to get vaccinated. The vaccine is free and federal. Four months must have passed after the third dose was applied.”

In relation to the Ómicron variant, he maintained that “it changes a lot, it resists the vaccines a little more, that is why this second reinforcement is given.” And he clarified that “the flu and Covid vaccines can be given together.”
