Al-Marsad Newspaper: Consultant dermatologist and skin cancer surgeon Dr. Fahd Al-Sudairi revealed the truth about hair loss due to head covering.
She said during her appearance on the Ya Hala show, that the loss comes from the bush and that covering your head or using shampoo and gel does not affect the hair follicle.
Al-Sudairi went on to say that the sun’s rays hit the hair, causing it to crack and fade in color, just as the hot air from the hair dryer also hits the hair.
The dermatologist warned against pulling out girls’ hair, as it weakens the front of the scalp and makes it bald.
