The decision was taken during a deliberation of the Constitutional Court, Thursday 1is February 2024.
« During today’s deliberation of the Constitutional Court of the Transition, procedural, formal and substantive defects were noted in the deliberation of September 2, 2023 which conferred the honorary status on Ms. Marie Madeleine Mborantsuo and Ms. Louise Angue as respective honorary president of the Constitutional Court and honorary judge of the high court”, indicates the press release.
For the Constitutional Court of the Transition, this disputed deliberation does not appear among the minutes of the high court registry. Consequently, the Constitutional Court of the Transition declares null and void the said deliberation conferring the aforementioned qualities. Remember that Marie Madeleine Mborantsuo headed the Constitutional Court for more than 30 years.
