Two warring Palestinian states
He continued: For Israel, the situation was very comfortable. Palestinians are busy fighting, and instead of two Palestinian and Israeli states, there are two warring Palestinian states. The unified Palestinian government collapsed, and Hamas appointed its judges and police, named Ismail Haniyeh its prime minister, and the Ramallah Authority named Salam Fayyad its prime minister.
