The Consequences of Senegalese Consulate Ransacking in Milan and New York on Civil Status Papers and Voter Cards

The ransacking of the Senegalese consulates in Milan and New York has left the president of the Ong Autre Afrique in a state of disarray. In a press briefing this Tuesday, June 6, 2023, Souleymane Aliou Diallo expressed his anger against these acts of vandalism which, he said, do not honor the image of Senegal. “We denounce to the last energy the ransacking of the Senegalese consulates in Milan and New York. It is causing harm to these Senegalese in the diaspora who are struggling so much to obtain civil status papers,” he said.
“This burnt identification file will have negative repercussions on the issuance of voter cards for the presidential election. They can demonstrate, but not go so far as to ransack important documents for our compatriots from outside, ”concludes the right of the man.
