Overtaking a long line of slower traffic on the shoulder is one of the maneuvers that shows disrespect for other drivers in traffic. The police in Germany, for example, call it “anti-social” behavior in traffic and punish it harshly. But, unfortunately, in our parts such driving maneuvers can still be observed from time to time. Yesterday evening, however, a driver of a Mercedes Sprinter had a lesson in traffic, when he started to overtake all the others on the shoulder, on the Balcani highway in the municipality of Chisinau.
The Sprinter driver was literally speeding along the shoulder, raising a cloud of dust in his wake, not caring the least bit about the others. At one point, however, another driver, a little further ahead than the author of the video, noticed him and pulled his own car further to the right, to stop the first one.
The driver of the Sprinter had to brake and move slowly behind the VW, but continued to insist on staying on the shoulder. At one point, the approach had already become too muddy, so in the end, the driver of the Sprinter still had to re-enter the normal road.
Later, after the lesson received, he seems to have already continued his way in the traffic column, along with all the others.
