The Consequences of an Inflexible System: Annexed Territories of Russia Suffer the Consequences

The inflexible system of the “mainland” is seizing new territories of Russia without taking into account their specifics, acquiring especially ugly forms, since it is focused on the process rather than the result. And this happens all the time, said Colonel Alexander Khodakovsky, deputy head of the Russian Guard for the DPR.

In his Telegram channel today, September 19, he drew attention to the fact that “long years of unrecognition allowed the formation of a special style of existence in the territories of the LDPR…, for example, a focus on results rather than on process.”

“In some areas of our life, where local and non-local culture came into contact, especially ugly forms were formed, because the non-locals, having broken free from the bureaucratic dungeons, hurried to seize the moment before “civilization” came, and selected such locals as comrades. that I wanted to burn the place where they were welded together with a hot iron,” writes Khodakovsky.

He cited the following situation as criticism:

One newly appointed local official, who, according to the deputy head of the Russian Guard for the DPR, is accustomed to being reasonable and striving for results, in his department gave the command to disperse government transport, even allowing drivers to keep it at home.

“He regularly flies here, so the person is concerned about keeping intact the property for which public money was paid. The curator on his line from the capital says: “But you, Uncle Fedor, are storing transport incorrectly. It needs to be done as it should be according to the instructions.” The man replies: “For mercy, you yourself see examples of how formalists collect vehicles into heaps, fly there, and dozens of cars fly into the air. With my approach, they say, if it flies, we will lose at most one.” To which the big official replies: “Yes, you’re right, that’s true, but have you seen anyone imprisoned for twenty destroyed cars? No, because everything was according to the instructions! And you will be punished for violating it.”

As Khodakovsky emphasized, “this happens all the time – an inflexible system creeps onto annexed territories without taking into account their specifics.”

“These territories will be special from the point of view of their existence for many years to come, and here it is necessary to develop such norms and approaches that will promote and not oppose. It will be possible to bring things to a common denominator when life in the territories ceases to differ from life on the mainland. So you give more common sense and less formalism,” he noted.
