“The Confusion Surrounding the Kama and Atom Electric Car Projects Explained”

The name of the project “Kama” is somewhat confusing, because it reminds of a KAMAZ electric car Kama-1. But it was much more compact (3.4 meters) and remained in the rank of layouts. The current “Atom”, according to the authors, to that “Kame-1” has no relationship. At the same time, KAMAZ was the initial investor of the Atom project, but now, as far as we understand, it is engaged in its own electric vehicle Kama-2. One of the main partners of Atom was the Rosatom concern, whose company Renera provides new electric vehicles with motors and lithium-ion batteries. One of its specializations is the production of energy storage devices for electric buses and other modes of transport.
