The evening of October 3, 2021, stuck between two prolonged closures of nightclubs because of the Covid, degenerated in front of a discotheque in Thionville. A customer got beaten up by a bouncer. He has just appeared in court. The interested party minimizes, he admits that he slapped the “aggressive” client twice. “Your behavior shocked those present,” the president reminds him.
The scene was filmed. The video has spread on social networks. It shows him dragging the victim to the ground. The client seems inert, dumbfounded. But the bouncer continues to beat him up and leaves him on the sidewalk, down a few steps. The medical certificate describes a fracture in the teeth and nose, cracked ribs, several bruises. Seven days of total incapacity are prescribed for the client whose memories are confused.

Threats, insults
The bouncer’s lawyer puts the fight in context and relies on the statements of colleagues present on the evening of the violence. During this period, the health pass is mandatory. The queue is long in front of the nightclub. A group of customers walks past everyone. The bouncer is called in reinforcement. He would have been threatened, insulted by the client in question. “He saw black,” describe the employees interviewed. The defense pleads apportionment of liability. In vain.
The former bouncer, originally from Kazakhstan, now fired, is fined 600 euros. He will also be prohibited from possessing a weapon, subject to authorization, for three years. The court also rejects his request not to enter this conviction in his criminal record. It’s not the first. The 37-year-old man was already sentenced in May 2021 following violence committed against a customer when he was a security guard in a store.
