Tonight, the evening of April 1, the concert will be heard in Ventspils concert hall “Latvija”.
The visitors of the concert experienced a reunion with the orchestra’s artistic director and chief conductor, 22-year-old Finn Tarmo Peltokoski, whom the audience got to know already in the autumn-winter concert edition.

The musicians looked into the symphonic music opus of Richard Strauss, performing the symphonic poem “Don Juan”, the symphonic fantasy from the opera “Shadowless Woman” and the suite “Rose Cavalier”. On the other hand, in Alfred Šnitke’s Third Concerto grosso for two violins and orchestra, the solo part was performed by LNSO concertmaster Georgs Sarkisyan and violinist Darja Smirnova.
