The compressed ambulance rolled into the stockade and burned

The accident occurred at the connection point of Düzce Northern Ring Road Konuralp Mahallesi at 22.30. The 81 AP 141 plate ambulance, under the management of Rafet Başkurt, who brought patients from Yığılca district, allegedly got out of control of the driver as a result of the compression of a vehicle while returning to Düzce University Hospital and rolled into the stockade. After 3 medical personnel in the vehicle got out, they also removed the patient in the ambulance. Then, while the ambulance suddenly caught fire, the oxygen tubes inside also exploded. 112 Emergency Medical teams, who came to the scene, took patients and medical personnel to ambulances. Firefighters also intervened and extinguished the burning ambulance.

Düzce Provincial Health Director Yasin Yılmaz, who came to the scene, said, “Our friends had an accident as a result of the compression of a vehicle. Our healthcare workers, who are in good condition, were taken to the hospital for control purposes. The ambulance burned. Get past us all,” he said.

An investigation into the accident has been initiated.
