The composer Wim Henderickx (60) suddenly passed away, known for the opera ‘De bekeerlinge’

Wim Henderickx, trained as a composer and percussionist, has written music for a wide variety of ensembles, whether for small ensembles or for orchestra, wind band or choir. He was the house composer of the Muziektheater Transparant, for which he wrote the operas “Triumph of spirit over matter” and “Achilleus” and in 2017 also “Revelations”. In 2013 he became artist in residence of the Antwerp Symphony Orchestra.
