Angelo Badalamenti passed away at the age of 85. American composer, best known for his music for the mystery detective series Twin peaksdied at his home in New Jersey.
Badalamenti has composed music for more than a hundred films, such as Blue Velvet, Lost Highway in Mulholland Drive and many television series. Other important titles in which you have collaborated have been The beach, a nightmare at 3 Elmstreet, Arlington Road in A long engagement Sunday. She has also collaborated with a number of pop artists, including the Pet Shop Boys and Marianne Faithfull.
Badalamenti’s first collaboration with David Lynch for Blue velvet in 1986 he delivered the number Love mysteries, with singer Julee Cruise, op. That song led to Cruise’s first album in 1989. That’s where the song came from Sagging on, the instrumental version of which Lynch used as the opening music Twin peaks.
The haunting song became an international hit.
