The
bitlove and company, a pet products and services company, begins to offer a new functionality to employees who have pets: a health plan for dogs and cats of any age. The initiative arose after an internal survey was carried out and it was found that 93% of the employees have at least one pet; 75% are guardians of one or more animals. “We understand that this synergy is key to talent retention, and this new feature is also aligned with the company’s mission to democratize and simplify pet care,” says Dennis Caetano, President of People and Culture at Petlove & Co. .
The plan includes unlimited counseling, both in the office and at home, vaccination request, access to emergency and urgent care, laboratory and imaging tests, funeral and cremation services.
All employees join the Prevent plan, which includes a monthly fee paid by the company and a co-participation amount deducted from the payroll according to use. There is also the possibility of moving to the Protect, Care or Premium Care plans, which include consultations with specialists such as cardiologists and dermatologists, tests such as MRIs and CT scans, hospitalization, highly complex surgeries, castration, physiotherapy and acupuncture sessions.
Although the coverage of the plan is national, some cities, such as Porto Alegre and São Paulo, have more options of professionals in the accredited network. But there is the possibility of requesting payment for certain services.
The Prevent plan is exempt from the grace period and, if upgraded, restrictions vary depending on the plan chosen for complex procedures such as CT scans, MRIs, specialist consultation, hospitalization, physical therapy and acupuncture, according to Dennis.
