Madrid is the Community where the most residents have died, 5,909 and it is also the capital, which accumulates with a total of 80, more open criminal investigations. Ten of them, just in the last week.
Complaints that associations, political parties and individuals who have lost a relative have filed alleging the poor attention received in the nursing homes. Behind Madrid, Barcelona with 30 proceedings opened, after Castilla y León with 17 and 16 in Castilla la Mancha. The prosecution has opened in total 163 investigations and 211 civil proceedings monitoring to keep a permanent and updated control of the residences, and thus avoid more deaths.
