The community is following the burial process of Father Benny’s body

The public participated in the burial process for Pancasila Ideology Advisory Board (BPIP) Special Workers group Antonius Benny Susetyo or Father Benny at Sukun Public Cemetery (TPU), Malang City, East Java, Monday afternoon.

Father Benny’s funeral was directly conducted by BPIP Steering Committee Secretary, TNU Major General (Ret.) Wisnu Bawa Tenaya.

“The service he did can be a good example for us all and his soul will find a worthy place in his side, Malang 7 October 2024,” TNU Major General (Ret.) Wisnu Bawa Tenaya said in his speech.

Meanwhile, the representative of the late Father Benny’s family, Andreas Eddy Susetyo, hopes that the whole community can follow the ideals and struggle of the deceased, especially in strengthening understanding Pancasila for the community.

“We hope that what you want will continue as the spirit of the deceased will never go out. We ask for prayers from all parties,” he said.

According to ANTARA comments at the scene, the body of Father Benny TPU arrived in Sukun at 12.00 WIB using an ambulance after leaving St. Albertus Trapani Catholic Church, Blimbing District, Malang City.

When he arrived at the place, Father Benny’s coffin was wrapped in a red and white flag and he was immediately greeted by several family members.

The coffin was carried by about eight personnel from the Malang City Civil Service Police Unit (Satpol PP).

One Satpol PP worker was also seen carrying a cross and another carrying a picture of the late Father Benny as they walked towards the burial ground which was attended by hundreds of people.

The funeral procession of Father Benny’s body was held at about 12.30 WIB and was accompanied by prayers from the mourners.

As is known, Father Benny died in Pontianak, West Kalimantan, in the early hours of October 5, 2024.

The deceased was immediately taken to the Gotong Royong Foundation Funeral Home, in Malang City and arrived in the afternoon, after departing from Juanda International Airport, Sidoarjo Regency, East Java.
