The Communion 2024 electronic music festival is back: find out the full line-up, date and ticket prices

The concert agenda in Colombia continues to add announcements during the second half of 2024. Although the confirmations of festivals and solo artists are of all kinds and in always different venues, electronic music lovers are particularly spoiled by the programming. New evidence of this is seen with the announcement by the production company Páramo Presenta of the return of the Comunión festival, consolidated as one of its most significant events in recent years.

Although in 2019 it had its first party with that name in which the presence of Underworld and Digitalism stood out, and then in 2020 during the covid-19 pandemic a second edition was held in the form of a self-concert and which included Julio Victoria and Ela Minus; It gained momentum since 2021, becoming a way for electronic music lovers to celebrate Halloween.. With this premise, names such as Richie Hawtin, Charlotte de Witte and, in 2023, Swedish House Mafia took part in the event.

The festival, which annually brings together a selection of electronic artists whose styles vary over the years, will this time have hardcore techno as its main protagonist. Under the name of Communion x Rebels – in reference to the collective that contributed to the curation of the chosen artists – on the poster, The event will take place at the Autopista Norte Events Center on October 26.

The selection of names includes the most challenging acts such as the Polish VTSS and the production company queer French Parfait, to the more experimental like the German FJAAK, passing through those who bring the most melodic and at the same time most danceable side, such as the Italian Luca Agnelli, the Dutch Oliver Heldens – who although he is better known for his facet closer to deep house, will be performing under the pseudonym Hi-Lo, the name he usually uses in his darker and more daring facet, and with which he already performed at the last Tomorrowland –, or the British Franck and Eli Brown.

The dose of hardcore techno will not only come from current or emerging figures in the movement, but also from the old guard. That promise will be fulfilled by DIØN and Jan Vercauteren, recognized during the 90s for being promoters of that sound in the Netherlands and Belgium, respectively.. They are joined by Ammara and Mino Abadier, who stand out among the names on the bill for being the most faithful to that primitive sound that swept through clubs around the world at the end of the last century. As for the Latin American artists, SUSS from Mexico and Briela Veneno from Colombia stand out.

Tickets can now be purchased through eTicket. Currently, the ticket office is in the second stage, So the cost of tickets is $126,000 for general admission, $195,000 for VIP admission, and $415,000 for those interested in having a backstage view.

In this last case, it is important to highlight that the possibility of being backstage “is subject to the approval of the artist on stage, so neither the promoter nor the ticket office will be responsible for decisions made by the Artist that prevent or limit access to the backstage area,” according to the event page on eTicket. In addition, it is noted that access to this area is limited per performance, so it will be given on a first-come, first-served basis.

Communion x Rebels warns that entry is only for those over 18 years of age and pregnant women will not be allowed to enter. It was also confirmed that there will be spaces available for people with reduced mobility.
