Since this Friday, midnight, anyone over the age of 11 has the obligation to wear a mask in places frequented by several municipalities on the Var seaside. So at Saint Tropez, the inhabitants, like the tourists, must have it on the nose in the city center, the port and the Citadel.
AT Bormes-les-Mimosas, the mask is compulsory in the city center, at La Favière and in the Pin district.
Same thing at Lavandou. The areas concerned are the city center, the port and the seafront promenade.
Two municipalities will impose the wearing of the mask from this Monday morning. It will be compulsory until next September 6, on the seaside promenade, in the old center and part of the city center of Sainte-Maxime.
AT Hyères, several zones are concerned, in particular the city center, but also on Port-Cros Islands and theLevant Island.
Contamination is on the rise
Except in Sainte-Maxime, the obligation to wear the mask runs until August 31. The authorities ask tourists and locals to redouble their vigilance and continue to make barrier gestures. In the Golf of Saint-Tropez, for example, around fifty new cases are detected every day.
