What was supposed to be a one-off party and public performance by Frank Verstraeten has become one of the biggest ‘comebacks’ of recent years. The Zillion events that followed the festivities in the Waagnation attracted massive crowds. Those who had ever been to the Zillion wanted to relive the unique atmosphere, but also those who had never been there or were not even born when Zillion closed its doors wanted to know what made the club so unique. Even the infamous Zundays were dusted off. Today, almost a year after the explosion of the Zillion bomb, the success and demand for Zillion events remains very high. That is why he will return to the Waagnatie in Antwerp on 29/10, 3/11 and 4/11/23.
“I want to focus more on the club feeling again. In the Waagnatie, we can accommodate up to 4,300 guests, which corresponds to the number of visitors we received on the club’s most popular nights,” says Frank Verstraeten.
The 3 parties will each have their own specific sound. Starting on Sunday 29 October with Zundays. A 21+ event where no smartphone is allowed and with a lot of vocal house music, and influences from rock, pop and even new wave. The party on Friday November 3rd will be called Classxxx. Here you can expect the original Zillion soundtrack from the 1990s and 2000s. It will be concluded on Saturday 4 November with GrØund. That night you can discover the music that would be played in the club if it still existed 25 years later.
