The Indianapolis Colts ended the New England Patriots’ seven-game winning streak on Saturday at Lucas Oil Stadium by defeating them 27-17.

The Patriots’ last loss (9-5) came in the sixth week of NFL activity, when they lost 35-29 to the Dallas Cowboys.
The favorites of the crowd used their ground game to overcome the “Pats”. Running back Jonathan Taylor was particularly efficient, with 29 carries for 170 yards, including one from 67 yards for a major.

The Colts (8-6) will also be able to thank their ground game, since their quarterback, Carson Wentz, had difficulties with the aerial game. The latter completed just five of his 12 passes for 57 yards, completing a throw-in for a major and theft.
The home team’s special teams also had their say, scoring a touchdown after blocking a Patriots’ relief attempt.
Visiting quarterback Mac Jones, for his part, converted 26 of 45 attempts to pass for 299 yards. He also threw two touchdown passes, but as many interceptions.
