The complaint filed against Uber for the Crime of Judicial Resolution Fraud is also filed against the telephone operators Movistar, Claro, Tigo and ETB.

According to the complaint, these telecommunications companies would also be committing the crime of Fraud named on December 20, 2019, issued by the Superintendency of Industry and Commerce, since the Uber application should have stopped working.

“Today about three months after the order was issued, Uber continues with an identical operation to the one it had been handling in recent years, in addition to openly declaring that it was returning to the country seeking an alternative to the ruling that ordered it to suspend its activities. ”, Indicates Cotech.

After the hearing, lawyer Nicolás Alviar appealed to the Attorney General’s Office to activate the judicial apparatus and guarantee, through legal tools, compliance with the law reflected in the SIC order.

“The Government and its institutions must guarantee that any person must submit to judicial decisions,” said Alviar.
