Colombia: The Colombian Catholic Church has printed a list of clergymen who have sexually abused minors. Released the listing of monks who sexually abused kids amongst 1995 and 2019.
Some of them have been expelled from the priesthood at least for a brief time. But soon after the punishment, they returned to their positions once more, in accordance to reporter Juan Pablo Barrientas who investigated this. He also requested the judges to publish the record of monks accused of abuses in the Colombian Catholic Church. Archbishop Ricardo Tobon reported their names have been unveiled to present that the church is doing the job transparently without hiding the reality.
In 2019 Barrientas also released a e book (Enable the Young children Occur to Me) on the sexual abuse of minors by clergymen. The church took lawful action to quit the e-book from staying revealed, but with no accomplishment. At minimum six priests in Colombia have been jailed for sexual abuse of minors.
