the college of Monteil contaminated by a powerful artistic virus

If there is a harmless virus, it is indeed that of art! At the Collège du Monteil, Estelle Hamard, the visual arts teacher, contaminated her 500 students who produced a breathtaking collective work highlighting group work.

When he discovered “the fireworks of colors and materials”, Laurent Exbrayat, the principal of the college, “felt a real emotional shock. It is pure emotion, not analytical art ”.

A real “emotional shock” by discovering this symbolism

From a drawing made in class and a simple small polystyrene ball, taken home, each one has devised to represent “his” virus.

Paint, paper, springs, glitter and wire, artistic contamination has affected all these young artists who have brought home real small works of art, each more original than the next and which they have put in common.

The impressive invasion of these viruses only affects part of room 210, where they were hung from the ceiling one by one by Estelle Hamard.

Five weeks of work

She modestly admits that this collective project “was ambitious, especially in a health context where the slightest manipulation requires strict cleaning of the tools used. But, the experience was very rich and, after five weeks of work, the result is surprising! “

Estelle Hamard is not her first performance and after the flowerbed or the giant forest, she hopes that these viruses can be admired during the next open days of the college.
