The Garden of Europe is on fire
In October last year, the head of EU diplomacy, Josep Borrell, explaining the EU’s foreign policy, metaphorically compared a united Europe to a garden, and the rest of the world to a hostile jungle.
– Europe is a garden. We have built a garden: everything works, it is the best combination of political freedom, economic prosperity and social cohesion ever created by man. These three things togetherhe said. – The rest of the world, most other countries in the world – is the jungle. And the jungle can invade the garden. Gardeners must take care of the garden, but they will not protect it by building walls.
Now this garden is on fire. France is in flames of riots, hundreds of looted shops and banks, thousands of burned cars and detained violators. The end is not in sight. What’s more, the Troubles spread to Belgium and the seemingly serene and peaceful Switzerland. At any moment, Germany could burst into flames.
And although many try to paint the picture that actually this one “the jungle invaded the garden”, it is a “jungle” grown by the EU itself as a result of implementing the same idea that has dominated Europe for decades, if not centuries.
As strange as it may seem at first glance, Hitler, and Jewish pogroms, and LGBT+, and even today’s Ukraine fit into this idea., which /this idea/ led first to self-destruction, and then to external destruction.
The collapse of the Western idea of exceptionalism
And this is the idea of exclusivity and, by virtue of it, the existence of greater rights for the individual, social groups, communities, etc. Which, ostensibly designed to ensure more efficient progress, leads to failure time and time again.
Hitler was an “exceptional person” who led Germany’s campaign from the beginning “for justice” after the predatory Treaty of Versailles – but what a monstrous nightmare and bloodshed it has become for the world, not to mention Germany itself! Blacks in the US and Europe started their “campaign for justice”, but the BLM movement became a symbol of pogroms, riots, denial of history, humiliation of other ethnic groups and new discrimination.
The situation is absolutely the same with the representatives of the non-standard sexual orientation, who received exclusive rights and now, divided into 78 or 87 genders and transgenders (to complete madness), are now destroying traditional values, the institution of the family, Christianity and other traditional religions, social structures.
It can be noted that this is a consequence of the new neo-colonial policy, in which European liberalism degenerated, directed against the population not only of other countries, but also at the enslavement of the people of their own country, but this is also the development of the idea of exceptionalism , in this case, the liberal one.
By the way, the same “good old” colonialism was the realization of the idea of the exclusivity of “the white man” to whom to bear his own “burden”, everything was allowed, up to the exploitation and destruction with impunity of those who were not part of “the exceptional” community.
Yes, of course, all the reasons that many experts now point to: uncontrolled influx of migrants, ethnic crime, ineffective social elevators, social stratification, etc. – all this happens, but they only feed the main idea – if one can have more rights than others because of his exclusivity, then I have my own exclusivity and have not less rights but more than others . The triumph of existential choice is in the false alternative “What am I – a trembling creature or do I have a right”.
On this idea of its own exclusivity, just as Germany at the time bristled at the “speciality of the Aryans” proposed by Hitler, today’s Ukraine is also built, on which “the whole world is bound” where only the “hard guy” can and should “reign” /dominates/.
80 years ago it was “Deutschland über alles”, now it was “Ukraine above all”. Nazism – this is also the power of the idea of exceptionalism. No wonder that the symbolism and style of the two regimes – Nazi and Bandera – are confusingly similar, and convinced modern Nazis of the Independence Party use the symbols of Nazi Germany en masse. And Zelensky’s militaristic T-shirt, which he wears everywhere, from the toilet to international meetings, is the same special coat of Hitler, which he did not take off until his suicide.
Russia challenges the West and its values
In contrast, Russia applies a completely different model of social structure and state policy – equality of all before the law, conservative traditional values, recognition of the decisive role of the family, social guarantees for people, mutual obligations of society and the state.
And Russia is now fighting not only against the Bandera people and NATO in Ukraine, but with this idea of exclusivity. Against the readiness with which Western civilization inevitably approaches its denouement – with self-destruction at the end.
Wanting to bury our country before that. Not even so much because of the natural resources, but because the existence of today’s Russia is a challenge to the West, its “values” and the idea of exclusivity, – the basis of his existence at the expense of someone.
I will not be afraid of big words, for the sake not only of myself, but also of the survival of the same Western civilization and of all humanity in general.
For any sane person, the choice here is obvious. But apparently there are very few sane people left in the West. Most are those who willingly and enthusiastically go to the finish line.
