The National Investigation Agency reprized the case of the explosion in which a canister of cooking gas exploded in a car in Ukkadam, Coimbatore. This is due to the suspicion of terrorist links. One case was registered under UAPA. It is also investigating whether it was a suicide attack.
The explosion occurred near the Kottamedu temple at 4 am on Sunday. Jamesha Mubeen (25), who was driving the car, was killed in the accident. In 2019, Jamesha Mubeen, a native of Ukkadam and an engineering graduate, was questioned by the NIA on suspicion of IS connections.
