A cemetery in the UK has long-term waterlogging problems, and every time it rains heavily, the mud becomes even more “rampant”. It is very difficult to walk, let alone carry the coffin for burial. Recently, there have been two outrageous events in the cemetery where the body was sprayed out of the coffin, which broke down the family members who were already crying heart-piercingly.

“Mirror” reported that the Muslim area of Bedminster Down Cemetery in Bristol (Bristol) in the UK is not easy to drain due to poor terrain. As a result, every time there is heavy rain, the mud will accumulate deeper and deeper. It was difficult for everyone to walk. Farooq Siddique, chairman of the local Muslim Funeral Committee, expressed his feelings. The community has endured silently for decades. It is common for residents to put their coffins into a bucket filled with water when they come to bury their relatives. The tomb of the deceased could be described as a fish tank, even he couldn’t look directly at it, let alone the relatives of the deceased.
Siddiq appealed to the authorities to solve the problem as soon as possible. After all, the coffin bearer slipped and fell due to the mud on the ground, causing the body to fall out of the coffin. Horrible scenes have been staged twice. It made him quite regretful, “This is a great trauma to the family…” Siddiq also mentioned that Bristol is a city where multiple races and religions gather, and it is basic and important for the deceased to walk peacefully and with dignity .
After the news came to light, the authorities have actively submitted a new plan to expand the cemetery. In addition to adding parking lots and sidewalks, the basic drainage facilities will also be improved.
