On December 12, the new train timetables for the coming year will come into effect. And you will probably not be surprised if we tell you that there will not really be major changes in terms of service to the Montluçonnais basin.
A sad status quo that the Rail Defense Committee (Codérail) denounced yesterday at a press conference. Clearly, it will always take around 3:20, at best, to go to Paris from Montluçon. The association also points out the lack of connection to the capital between 9 and 5 p.m. on weekdays.
Above all, the Codérail is concerned about the state of infrastructure, which is considered worrying, especially on this line. If the work is well budgeted, the association considers that it is slow to be carried out.
Daniel Coffin is the secretary of the Codérail.
To warn about the difficulties, the association will organize an information day with its members and elected officials, on December 11, if the health crisis allows.
